About Meghan

Empathy, Humility, and Genuine Commitment

Meghan obtained her Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2023. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics and International Development from St. Francis Xavier University, including a semester abroad at ESSCA School of Management in Angers, France, an experience that broadened her perspective and deepened her understanding of the diverse communities she would go on to serve.

Meghan pursued her legal education with purpose, seeking out experiential opportunities that would prepare her specifically for family law practice. She worked at Dalhousie Legal Aid, assisting clients with family, criminal, and small claims matters, and participated in the Nova Scotia Mass Casualty Commission. She also completed a judicial clerkship at the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia (Family Division) in Halifax under the supervision of the Honourable Justice C. LouAnn Chiasson, where she gained insight into family proceedings and the judicial decision-making process. Additionally, Meghan participated in the Responding to Sexualized Violence Clinic under the supervision of Professor Elaine Craig, equipping her with an understanding of the systemic barriers facing survivors within the justice system, experience that continues to inform the sensitivity and awareness she brings to her practice.

Outside the office, Meghan can be found running along the Bow River, practicing yoga, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, or spending time on her family’s farm and ranch northwest of Calgary.
